My Skincare Routine

I've been reading a lot of co-bloggers posting there Skincare Routine, and i was like: OMG! Those are tons of products!
So it really got me thinking of my own, and i can't help comparing it with others.
The truth is, i don't really think of my routine to much. I just use products that are necessary and keep it as few as possible.
But then again, everyone has the need of her own when it comes to skincare.

Fortunately, I was one of the lucky girls blessed with naturally clear skin. I get a pimple or two, if not, none at all in a month. And that is due to my monthly period.
And if i ever i develop a pimple, i don't really give much of a deal, cause it normally goes away, and if it leaves a mark it fades away in a week or two.

So let's get on to business, i bet this will be over quick!

Ta~dah! Yes, this is it! Yep, this is EVERYTHING!
Those items are my DAY & NIGHT skincare routine products.

Item's in the picture:
  1. Clarisonic Mia2 Sonic Cleansing System - this one is a limited edition model, it's a Sephora Sweet15 Mia2, i got it for $150 same as the regular Mia2, but this one came in with a free travel bag, extra brush head and in HOT PINK color! :)
  2. Pond's Clear Solutions Anti-Bacterial Facial Scrub
  3. Philosophy Purity Made Simple
  4. Boscia Tsubaki Beauty Oil
  5. Chapstick Classic in Strawberry
  6. EOS in Blueberry Acai Berry
  7. EOS in Sweet Mint

DAY Routine:

Believe it or not, these are the only two i use after i take a bath (I don't wash my face in the morning, i just brush my teeth).
The Pond's Clear Solutions Anti-Bacterial Facial Scrub was my first ever facial wash since i was 14 years old! Can you believe it! And i'm still using it till today, talk about a loyal Pond's girl.
This is the one with the microbeads, i am really 'hiyang' with this facial wash. Yes, i strayed a few times, tried other face wash just because i was bored with my regular Pond's, but i end up crying back to it and asking for forgiveness. Other face wash makes me breakout!
And the microbeads really effectively exfoliates my skin! Plus you just need a pea-size so a big tube really last me months (thus the grimy tube).
I think this is the only product i can finish and will always repurchase.
Another plus is how affordable this item is, it's like around P150 only in Department Stores!
As for my moisturizer, i use my Boscia Tsubaki Beauty Oil. (more of it later)

NIGHT Routine:

I use my Clarisonic Mia2 only at night after i remove my makeup, if ever i'm wearing any. I use it with my Philosophy Purity Made Simple Cleanser. These two makes a great combo!
The Mia2 thoroughly cleans all of my face, and the Philosophy Purity is also a deep pore cleanser so they compliment each other pretty well.
The Purity Cleanser also lasts a long time because you only need an insy little bit of it. That specific bottle is already 6months old, and it's still half full!
The scent of this cleanser is mild too, so it doesn't bother me at all.
Then again, as for my moisturizer, i use Boscia Tsubaki Beauty Oil again.

Just to make my skincare routine a little more crowded, i threw in my trusted Lip Balms.
I use this after i was my face and every time i feel my lips need some love. I have very dry lips, and the coldness of the weather further aggravates it even more.
I don't have a favorite amongst the three, i normally pick up what ever fits my mood.
Although the Sweet Mint is about to run out, and its a little bit dirty because i always bring it with me. I think it's already 6months old too, if not more.

Boscia Tsubaki Beauty Oil:

I separated this specific product so i can elaborate more. I actually got this in a sample box together with some Boscia White & Black masks that i am also currently trying out. So this is a sample size (8ml / 0.27oz).
Before i tried this out, i was using my Josie Maran 100 Percent Argan Oil Light, but it was not completely hydrating all of my face. I still have the frustrating dry patches on my cheeks. I blame the super cold weather here in Antipolo since December. So i stumble upon this pink potion on my drawers and gave it a try.
Honestly speaking, i was wishing that it doesn't work out for me, like make me breakout or dries my skin even more, or just plainly suck.
Why, you ask? Because i don't wanna purchase a fullsize of this product! A bottle of this in 1.7oz costs $46! And i am really not willing to splurge that much for a moisturizer.
But as expected, this product was AH~MAZING! On my first use all of my dry patches disappeared! Nowhere to be seen! My skin is so smooth right now after 3weeks of use, no breakouts, no irritation! Plus i feel so pretty in the morning. Glowing and all!
As much as i love this Beauty Oil, i am still debating with myself if i am gonna get the big bottle once this one is finished, just because of the price. And i'm really hoping to score another sample size of this product, so wish me well.

But if you have the budget and skincare is a big deal for you, i recommend you try this out. It's also vegan and has anti-aging properties. Fast absorbing and none greasy so you can wear makeup over it.

So that ends my Skincare Routine, please do share yours! :)

  3. So I just asked what your skincare routine is on my comment box haha. Now it's here! Waah I think you're blessed with nice skin to begin with. Pimple marks fade away automatically after a few weeks. me, I need to use spot corrector :| I love your clarisonic! I hope to buy one maybe after my birthday. Good thing Pond's works for you! I've tried all of their variants, but none of them works on my skin, I always have tiny pimples everywhere after a few days. *sigh*

    1. Hihi, actually you inspired me to do a post on my Skincare Routine too!
I believe my Mia2 does a terrific job in cleaning my face so my moisturizer penetrates my skin faster.
It's a good invest, i actually have a post drafted for an update on my use of my Clarisonic Mia2 and what it did to my skin in 6months. :)
And the Pond's, that is the only variant that works for me. Tried other variants too, but feels like my current one does better still.

  5. I use to be a little over the top with my skincare routine - WAY too many products - I've since tried to pinned it down to a reasonable amount. I think I was packing too many things on my face! You're lucky though, I wish I had clear skin! ;)

  7. Thank you for dropping by my blog! Hehe.

Thanks for sharing your routine! My skin is similar to yours; naturally clear and only one or two pimples every now and then. Hahaha. I think I need to get one of those lip balms though! My lips are getting so dry these few days :(

    1. You really should! The cold weather is so drying. Specially to me that have dry lips even if its not cold. I always have lipbalms and a few more extras just in case i left one in my other bag. :)

  8. We've heard so much about the clarisonic! It is a bit pricey though. DO you think it is worth it?

    1. I think it is very worth it! :) I don't need to get facials and it keeps my face free from dirt, and black & whiteheads!

  9. ooo nice i think we have fairly similar skin type when it comes with it not being too sensitive :) i feel confident to ask you this question thats been bugging me ever since clarisonic invaded the beauty community. does it really make a difference on your skin? :) its quite expensive so im hesitant to get one but im really intrigue by it.

  10. It does! The first thing you will notice on your first use is the freshness & the feeling of uber cleanliness in your face. :)
In time it will get the deepest dirt that's been tucked in inside your pores out. Get's all my blackheads & whiteheads out, and keeps my skin smooth. Plus you'll save thousands of bucks from facials! :)
    It's definitely worth it!
